Brock Loewen

Brock Loewen is a Canadian Certified Prosthetist. He is a technical and clinical honours graduate of both the two year orthotics and prosthetic technician program and the two year clinical methods in orthotics and prosthetics program at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. George Brown College is one of only two Prosthetic and Orthotic schools, recognized and approved by the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists.

Brock is a member of the Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists.  He holds a board of directors' position with the Ontario Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists and has served as an examiner for both the national clinical certification and the national technical registration examinations.

For many years Brock was a part of the London Regional Amputee Clinic and In-Patient Unit at St. Joseph's Health Centre, St. Mary's Campus in London Ontario.

In January of 1999 he established Loewen Prosthetic Services Ltd. in Windsor Ontario providing complete prosthetic care
for individuals requiring artificial limbs.

Since then Loewen Prosthetic Services Ltd.:

• fitted the first ever completely microprocessor controlled knee unit for above knee amputees in the Windsor
  and London areas.
• established a paediatric prosthetic clinic at the Children's Rehabilitation Centre in Windsor.
• established a weekly out-patient amputee clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chatham, Ontario providing local care
  for residents of the Chatham/Kent Region.
