Brock Loewen is a Canadian Certified Prosthetist. He is a technical and clinical honours graduate of both the orthotic and prosthetic technician program and the clinical methods in orthotics and prosthetics program at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; which is one of only a very limited number of Prosthetic and Orthotic programs recognized and approved by the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists. Brock is a member of the Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists, the Canadian National Certification Board and the Ontario Association. He has held a board of directors' position with the Ontario Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists and has served as an examiner for both the national clinical certification and the national technical registration examinations. Brock also held the accreditation Chairman position for the Canadian National Certification Board which oversees all of the accredited prosthetic and orthotic clinics in Canada. For many years Brock was a part of the London Regional Amputee Clinic and In-Patient Unit at St. Joseph's Health Centre, St. Mary's Campus in London Ontario. In January of 1999 he established Loewen Prosthetic Services Ltd. in Windsor Ontario providing complete prosthetic care for individuals requiring artificial limbs. Since then Loewen Prosthetic Services Ltd.:
- Fitted the first ever completely microprocessor controlled knee unit for above knee amputees in the Windsor and London areas.
- Established a pediatric prosthetic clinic at the Children's Rehabilitation Centre in Windsor.
- Established a weekly out-patient amputee clinic at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance (Formerly Public General Hospital) in Chatham, Ontario providing local care for residents of the Chatham/Kent Region.
Charlene Ruediger is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist. She completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with Honours
from the University of Windsor in 2014. She then went on to complete a diploma at George Brown College
in the Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician program in 2016. Charlene worked in the field as a prosthetic and orthotic technician before going back to school to complete the Diploma in Pedorthics program at Western University
while doing her placement at Sunnybrook Hospital. Charlene has been with Loewen Prosthetic Services since 2018
and offers services including custom foot orthoses, orthopaedic footwear, footwear modifications,
and custom footwear.
